My 14 yo Cocker Spaniel had been on the same food her whole life (Purina ONE). After researching dog food quality on the internet, I saw where the kibble she was on could be the cause of her itchy, dry, flaky skin. After looking at different brands, Chase suggested I try California Natural "Lamb and Rice" small bites. After gradually switching her over (2 weeks), I noticed a marked improvement in her skin and coat. The California Natural has a very short ingredient list compared to "Grocery store brands" that are full of corn meal filler and preservatives. I was so impressed with the product; I have switched my two 3 month old Miniature Schnauzer puppies to the California Natural Lamb and Rice puppy formula. They love the taste compared to the Iams puppy food the breeder had them on. Don't let the slightly higher price (over grocery store brands) deter you. The higher quality ingredients will fill your dog up quicker on a smaller amount, saving you money in the long run. Also, you can email Natura for manufacturer coupons.
